...happy st. patty's day (sale)!

We're celebrating our Irish roots with a St. Patty's Day sale!  We have some fabulous green fabrics from Joel Dewberry's Deer Valley collection that just scream Spring (and luck of the Irish!) and we've marked them down to $6.50/yd for TODAY ONLY!  That's $1.25 off per yard!!

We had to enjoy our Patty's Day dinner a day early this year due to a prior engagement tonight, but it was still amazing!  I modified a new Beef and Guinness Stew recipe...and it's the best stew I've made yet.  Plus a new Colcannon recipe where I used kale instead of regular cabbage and of course, I made soda bread - yum!  A very hearty meal that took 4 hours to prepare and only 15 minutes to eat!

It may not be "pretty" food, but it was good!

What do you do to celebrate the day?  Are you actually Irish, or just pretend to be one for the day?! ;)  I must say I'm proud of my Irish heritage and have always loved that even those who aren't Irish enjoy celebrating this day too!

Happy St. Patrick's Day from us to you with an old Irish blessing!

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

  1. The stew sounds wonderful. We'll have the traditional corned beef and cabbage. I'm all German except for today, I'm always a little Irish on St Patrick's Day. Have to celebrate with a wee bit of green beer!!

  2. Happy St. Patrick's day to you and your family!!!!

Thank you so much for all of your help. I GREATLY appreciate it!!!

  3. Patty - Well, beer is certainly one thing the Germans and the Irish have in common! Enjoy being Irish for a day :)

    Venus - You're most welcome!
