Hey everyone...I want to introduce you to a talented Etsy artisan who doesn't quite fit the normal pursemaker mold.  Grandpa Terry (yep, he's really a grandpa!) is a Landscape Architect by day, but enjoys sewing, quilting and creating in his spare time.  Grandpa Terry's shop offers a wide variety of sewn items including potholders, oven mitts, wallets, clutches, checkbook covers and more.  Using popular designer fabrics, you're sure to find items made in your favorite prints.  Like the Uptown Ashton Shoulder Tote, using prints from Laura Gunn's new Poppy line.

Poppy is Laura Gunn's follow up to her first fabric line, Lantern Bloom.  We loved Lantern Bloom, but we personally love Poppy even more!  We're carrying the Auqa colorway and it is filled with lovely blues, greens, browns and reds.  Poppies, dogwoods, stripes, dots....there's so much to love with this line.  And of course, each print is complete with those paint strokes that we have come to expect and love from Laura Gunn.  Check out these amazing prints!

fun fabric friday...hive from patty young's flora & fauna

Happy Friday!!  This week's fun fabric is from Patty Young's Flora & Fauna collection.  Hive is a cute coordinating print with adorable little bees and a honeycomb background.  We currently carry the Hive print in Lime and Turquoise.  I love the Lime color because it's the perfect accent to the Daisy Dot print with lime petals and raspberry centers.  How cute would it be to make a dress or skirt with flowers and trim it with the Hive bees?  I think the only thing that could be cuter is if the bees were already on the flowers in the Daisy Dot print!

We're happy to be carrying beautiful velvet ric rac from Riley Blake Designs (finally!).  We're starting off with 4 colors - baby pink, aqua, cream and true red - and hope to add more if you all want us to.  (Don't see a color you love? Let us know what you're looking for and we'll see if we can order it.)  This 100% nylon, 1/2" wide, machine washable velvet ric rac brings a touch of elegance or a pop of color to your project.  Add as a trim to your little girl's dress, or add some to your next quilt or pillow cover for added texture.

Ric rac is listed in 1 yard increments or you can opt for the 5 yard mix and match - choose any combination of color and length to reach 5 yards.  And of course, you can always convo if you need me to set up a specific listing for you.  The more you buy, the more you save!
